Information in English The history of rallying continues!

Paris – Amsterdam 2019

The 1898 Parijs-Amsterdam-Parijs was the first ever car race/rally to cross international borders. Manufacturers were eager to prove that the car was a proper and reliable substitute for a horse and carriage.

After the 2018 revival edition with 80 pre-war cars, we will organize our second edition in 2019. From Parijs (Chantilly) to Amsterdam (Houthem).
This Pre-war rally will go from Versailles to Houthem via Troyes and Sedan in just 4 day's. Nice and short day's and wonderfull hotels.

The adventures by Classic Events are designed as sociable and relaxed events with relative short day's and distances. ~Every now and then a highlight or a museum will be fitted into the route if possible. A lovely route with the best available hotels on route. You will have plenty of time for a relaxed drive and explore the countryside with rally friends aold and new.

Fitting in these kind of events there will be some competotion aswell. But only if you sign up for it. we always offer a route without any competition for the most smiles per mile! The competition can be a regeularity section, a spoecial test or a navigation section on route.

Day 1 – Versailles – Troyes (250 km)
Passing Paris on the south side we will drive through the hart of France to Troyes. Just outside the town we found a 4* hotel in the forest of Parc Naturel d’Orient. A suroprisingly nice area of France where not many tourists exit the motorway.

Day 2 – Troyes – Sedan (250 km)
Today we will start our drive to the North toweards the Belgian border. We found a hotel housed in a Medieval Castle in Sedan where we will stay the night. Unfortunately this hotel does not offer enough beds for our usual group size so we have another, second, hotel booked for you aswell. Today's route is all about views, lakes and streams and beautifull roads.

Day 3 – Sedan – Nennig (225 km)
Todays destination is a hotel in Germany, Nennig just over the border on the East side of Luxemburg. Overlooking the Mozel river and wineries I am sure you will enjoy this place. If the hotel or wineries bore you, you might want to spend the evening in the adjesant casino...

Day 4 – Nennig – Chateau st Gerlach (240 km)
Through Luxemburg and the Belgian Ardennes we will finish the rally in the south of the Netherlands in a small town called Houthem. This little town happens to have one of the best hotels in our little country, Chateau st Gerlach where we will have our prize giving dinner on the final night.

We will use the best available hotels on route which suite the special needs of a classic car event. Parking, athmosphere and functionality. Dinner usually starts at 20:00 o' clock and the winners of the day will be announced aswell as a little information about the day to come.

Routesystemen en competitie
No rally without competition. We hope to have found the right combination between a nioce touring event and the competition parts to ensure a pleasurable day. The roadbook will be in Tulip style where the competition will be a bit of old fashioned mapreading.

An experienced rally service team will follow all of you to make sure that you do not get stranded in the middle of nowhere. The will try to fix it ofcourse and otherwise make sure you get a tow to the nearest garage.
